SHOES AND CLOTHES FOR KIDS INC

For 56 years, Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K) has been the only non-profit organization in Greater Cleveland providing new items at no cost to students, families, and teachers year-round.

In 2024, SC4K found our new home at the Community Resource Center (CRC) bringing new possibilities for growth and impact by connecting us to a collaborative network of 15+ co-located nonprofits providing support for the students, families, partners, and teachers we serve.

This is where we have the SC4K Free Store where new shoes, clothes, and school supplies are distributed through three programs:

-LEGACY PROGRAM - Works through our network of 26 strategically-located nonprofit distribution partners in the community

-TEACHER RESOURCE CENTER - For teachers in schools where at least 60% of the students qualify for the National School Lunch Program

-DIRECT SERVICE PROGRAM - For families referred by the Community Resource Center and its partner organizations.

IMPACT IN 2025: 34,204 students received 443,816 items, valued at $3.2M.

VOLUNTEERING
SC4K offers a unique option for those wishing to give financially AND have a hands-on experience in the mission. Volunteers help with sorting and counting donations, stocking shelves, packing orders, and staffing Partner and Teacher Shops. Ideal for students (ages 14+), groups, clubs, companies, or any individual interested in a meaningful experience.
