#BeMeDigitalinclusion aims to raise one million global majority of women and girls aspirations in Science, Technology, Engineering Math | AI | WEB 3 related careers.
Problem:
Lack of role models, employment gaps in tech, and micro-aggression are the main concerns for women, particularly Black women, which will leave them vastly underrepresented in STEM jobs. According to the World Economic Forum – Future of Jobs 2020, 233 million AI Robotic automated jobs will be in 2023. A recent report by the APPG on Diversity and Inclusion in STEM found that 65 per cent of the STEM workforce are White men compared to around 43 per cent of the UK’s population at the last UK census. If our BAME/BME young females are not digitally equipped, they will be displaced, and this will have a negative strain on our local economy, more increased gang-related activities, and an increase in mental health, which will have a ripple effect within our communities.
The impact of the #BeMedigitalinclusion program has empowered 6,830 BAME/BME females across schools and colleges over the last 18 months in the UK and Ghana. 100% have access to STEM | AI | Web 3.0 opportunities and understand who to connect with and where to go to get more information.
