BELOVED ASHEVILLE

We believe that we are the people we have been waiting for. We put love and compassion into action daily. In the face of food insecurity, we create free farmers markets and community gardens. In the face of racism, we work for reparations and racial equity in systems from schools to healthcare to criminal justice to economic. In the face of homelessness and housing insecurity, we are building deeply affordable homes with equity. In the face of health disparities, we created the first homeless/formerly homeless street medic team in the country that is now expanding to other populations as a way to help create healthcare for all. All of these are connected by thread of community. We believe that all of us are meant to belong and have purpose. We need each other and can use our gifts of time, talent, and treasure to create a place of home, health, and opportunity for all where everyone THRIVES. We have most recently used all of our projects as a means to respond rapidly and creatively to the COVID-19 pandemic.
